Introduction :

The Cross-Strait Economic and Trading Center is responsible for promoting comprehensive study and understanding of Mainland China, preparing students for professional employment in enterprises, and serving as a platform for cross-strait exchanges and academic discussion about mainland China.

In order to fulfill these goals and missions, the Center is active in organizing seminars, lectures, and large-scale conferences. It also publishes research reports and in the future will publish periodicals. In addition, it has promoted exchanges with many institutes in Mainland China.

With the increasing exchanges between Taiwan and Mainland China, the center feels it necessary to offer a series of courses to increase students’ understanding of Mainland China’s economy, society and culture. Furthermore, to encourage academic research, the center urges its faculty to do projects on Mainland China affairs and Cross-Strait relations. By means of enhancing approaches to teaching, improving the quality of research, and promoting academic exchanges, the center will aim at conducting research projects with related government units and Mainland Chinese scholars with a view to improving the quality of our academic research.
