Teaching Goals
  • To nurture professional specialists in financial accounting, financial management, auditing and tax planning in the manufacturing and service business sectors, CPA firms and government agencies to meet the needs of our country's economic development and expansion.
  • To strengthen training for the operation and application of accounting information systems and to instill good ethics and diligence in a professional environment.
  • To fulfill the government's occupational licensing policy, to implement various business skill examinations, to enhance the standard of specialized techniques and to increase work capabilities and employment competitiveness.
Curriculum
  • Financial Accounting: Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Financial Accounting Standard Seminar.
  • Computer and Accounting information: Basic Concepts of Computer Science, Commercial Application Software Packages, Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, e-Commerce.
  • Financial management: Financial Management, Micro-economics, Macro-economics, Investment, Derivatives, Money and Banking, Financial Statement Analysis.
  • Commercial and Legal Accounting: Business Law, Civil Law, Tax Ordinance, Tax Accounting, Tax Planning and Policy.
  • Mainland Chinese accounting and tax: Comparison of cross strait (Taiwanese & Chinese) financial accounting standards, comparison of cross strait Taxation Systems, Evaluation of investing in Mainland China.
Facilities
  • This department provides complete facilities, including accounting facilities, computer labs, simulated business practice classrooms, audio-visual classrooms, language labs, typing classrooms, computer labs and other electronically equipped classrooms needed for business courses. These classrooms are open for after school study to encourage and promote student learning.
  • Students have access to a wide range of resources. Collections of reference books, journals and videotapes are also available for the students and teachers.
  • Teachers in our department are continually offered avenues for purchasing the latest books, journals and instructional videotapes. In addition, teachers can purchase cassettes and videotapes to enhance their instruction.
