The Objectives
Investments and financial activities are the center of the economy. Hence, there is a need in this industry for professionals who have specialized skills in Insurance and Finance Management. To meet industry demand, our institute aims to produce and develop a workforce of management professionals for a wide range of financial institutions including insurance companies, commercial banks and investment companies. Courses are designed to equip students with the following abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge in the fields of insurance, banking, investment and corporate finance.
  • Planning and implementation skills
  • Foreign language proficiency
  • Hands-on computer and data management skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
Special Features
In order to facilitate our objectives, we place emphasis on the following areas:
  • Ensure students regularly attend seminar field trips to financial institutions as well as traditional in-class lectures.
  • Maintain a first-rate atmosphere for academic research.
  • Upgrade our multimedia teaching materials including overhead projectors, slides, videotapes and computer-based instructional tools continuously, to keep pace with the rapidly changing business environment.
  • Strengthen our students' abilities to process insurance and financial related information via computer applications and computer-aided designs.
Curriculum
  • Risk Management and Insurance: Increases students' knowledge of the legal and business environments of life insurance and property and casualty insurance practices.
  • Corporate Finance and Investment: Familiarizes students with various financial markets, enabling them to deal effectively with a continually changing financial environment.
  • Computer and Data processing:Courses include Business Programming Designs, Computerized Applications, e-commerce and Banking Information Systems, and Insurance Information Systems.
  • Foreign language proficiency: Language courses offered include English and Japanese. German, French and Spanish language courses will also be offered in the future.
Facilities
This Institute is equipped with a total of 28 computerized classrooms to provide students with a top-quality learning environment. In addition, it also has a laboratory for simulated business practice.

  • Equip students with a sound background in Insurance and Finance Management, together with the skills to meet the needs of the challenging e-business arena.
  • Hold alumni panels periodically and invite distinguished alumni to be guest speakers to share their experience with students.
  • Continue to recruit qualified and experienced faculty members.
  • Offer more electives that correspond with the needs of a continually changing international business environment.
